In Memory - Esta Darlene Balser

Esta Darlene Balser, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 15th, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on Sunday, February 11th, 1934, in Clinton, Ohio, Esta lived a full and vibrant life, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and service.

Esta was preceded in death by her parents, William Russell Harris and Lula M. (Martin) Harris; her beloved husband, Ernest Balser Jr.; her son, Ernest Keith Balser; and her grandson, Matthew Casto. Despite these profound losses, Esta's enduring spirit and unyielding faith sustained her through life’s challenges.

Surviving Esta are her devoted daughter, Shelly Lynn (Tom) Casto, and her son, Russell K. Balser. She was the cherished grandmother to Stacey Casto, T.J. (Angie Redman) Casto, Kylie Balser, Kelsie Balser, Keila Bowers, and Eric and Kayla, and the adored matriarch to numerous great-grandchildren. Additionally, Esta leaves behind a sister-in-law, Janie; and a wealth of friends who were touched by her kindness and unwavering Christian faith.

With an associates degree in nursing, Esta dedicated her life to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Her generosity extended beyond her profession as she was a dedicated church member of New Zion United Methodist Church, participating in missionary work that allowed her to travel extensively while serving those in need. Her love for crafting was evident in her exquisite crocheting and sewing projects, and her garden was always blooming under her tender care. Known for her baking prowess, Esta's kitchen was the heart of her home, where friends and family gathered to enjoy her delicious creations.

Esta's life was celebrated by all who were fortunate enough to have known her. Her legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
